What the research is about
The goal of the RISE Research Project is to learn about RISE GMI participants’ experiences and to better understand what helps build lasting stability and opportunity. OpenResearch is the research partner for the RISE program.
You will be invited to complete paid surveys during the RISE program about your well-being, finances, health, work, needs, and priorities. By sharing your experiences and perspectives, you’ll help us understand what works and what doesn’t in programs like RISE and recommend better ways to support people and communities like yours.
We’re so grateful for your partnership in this important work.
Research Survey timeline:
Baseline survey: Shortly after enrolling in the program
Bi-monthly surveys: Shorter surveys every two months during the program
Endline survey: A final survey at the end of the program, similar to the first one
GiveDirectly also sends out monthly payment surveys that are required for receiving RISE payments. These monthly payment surveys are not part of the research.
The research surveys from OpenResearch are completely optional, and your RISE payments stay the same whether or not you participate in the research.
